Notes & Combos

With all these new cards coming out I just had to try and find a deck that isn't the standard Branded or Dracotail stuff to play them. And I think I found a really nice fit for them.

Mitsurugi is a deck that plays incredibly well with other engines. Especially if they concern the Extra Deck and are good in the grind game. The new Branded cards do all of that.

White Albaz in this deck can literally do so much:

• It is a Normal Summon starter (it makes two 4s for Feral Imps)
• It is a Special Summon Extender (LVl 8 Synchro Swordsoul into Lawbringer into sending Herald)
• It is an Endboard piece (Albion set Fallen & Virtuous)

That last point is alive even under Fydraulis, which is reeeeeeally good. And it does all of that for a 0 Brick requirement, since Ecclesia can do all the same. She is even really good going 2nd, which is why I considered running more copies.

What makes it better though is that it even has good matchups. Branded and Kewl Tunes are both decks that dont throw around Omni-Negates, allowing Mitsu to kickstart their plays against them frequently.

With that you we can often power through boards with Murakomo and go for an instant kill.

Effectively the deck has good grinding, but it also has immaculate kill pressure, which makes it pretty good in the current meta.

And I just HAVE to mention how good Fydraulis is for this deck. The card is removal from the hand, and can immediately start our combos. Often it can even fix bricked hands during the opponents turn, or by keeping you alive and giving you follow up for turn 3. All this while not touching our main plays, since the restriction doesnt apply to Ritual Monsters. So good. Losing access to Link Monsters does hurt the deck a bit however, but I still belive its worth it.

All in all I have to say, the deck is amazing and tons of fun. Make sure to check out my replays!

Some notable tech options I've found:

• Almiraj can help turn Lawbringer into a starter
• Chaos Archfiend is a lvl 8 Synchro Boardclear that banishes everything
• PEP is funny but i never even summoned it once :(
• Dominus Impulse is good, but I feel it turns off to many of our combo lines now
• Juraishin is another funny lvl 11 Synchro that wont come up
• Sauravis, since it can be added by Herald if we already have Habakiri

There is also tons of support (Ragged Records, End of the World Ruler, Gallant, Cyberse Contract Witch) coming up, making the deck very future proof.
