Notes & Combos

Running Mad Love at 2 because there's almost no world where you'd rather summon her over Razen. I almost always prefer to use Razen + follow-up to get Hollie Sue to summon Mad Love from deck... or, failing that, go into Rock and reset after setting up K9s.

Biggest thing to remember about VS is that if you can find a way to set up the Jiaolong search, you basically have full combo, so either go for that or try to get Borger and Caesar Valius lined up for quick swaps on your on-field monsters. At that point you should just be able to cycle interactions.

The non-engine gave me the biggest problems, actually... D Shifter, Droll, and the charmies are all individually crazy good, but they don't play the nicest together. Fortunately, no one plays Thrust anymore, so the Main Phase vs. Draw/Standby activations minigame isn't as important. Ghost Belle is theoretically okay in this deck but it's really a one-for-one except for being a one-for-two against Dracotail, but there are stronger ways to stop those combos than Belle. Considering you want as many cards in hand as possible, those handtraps need to really matter. Shifter does, Droll usually does (be ready to die to triple Linkage though), charmies do. Imperm, Crossout, Nib, Droplet... not good enough or synergistic enough in this deck.

I was running an Ext-Ice-Node package to add Detonator to the occasional endboard as a joke, but I took it out because seeing Ryzeals in my hand kept losing me games. I'm also not sure when Tiras and Zeus are supposed to generally come up. Other than that, the decklist is pretty well optimized, I think.
